19.6 Use of the Early Help Assessment
Last updated 18/05/2017
Assessments can be conducted using the Early Help or the Children and Families Assessment.
Where there is an immediate need for a child protection assessment and response, professionals should complete a referral as in Sefton’s procedures.
If one of the conclusions from the common assessment is that there are reasonable grounds to believe a child is trafficked, then the professional must follow section 19.7 (Children at risk of / or experiencing significant harm) and refer the child to Local Authority Children’s Social Care.
