    21. Young Carers

    This protocol outlines Sefton LSCB’s procedures in identifying and supporting the needs of Young Carers.  The protocol applies to all staff working with children, young people and adults; particularly those who assess need and agree plans which meet and address this need.

    This protocol is based on the Joint Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) called ‘No Wrong Doors’ Working Together to support Young Carers and their Families (2015) This MOU was established through the Association of Directors of Children’s Services, Directors of Adults Services and developed with the Children’s Society and Carers Trust.
