6.4 Early Help for Children with Disabilities

    Last updated 12/11/2018

A child who is disabled and has specific additional needs, has special educational needs (whether or not they have a statutory Education and Health Care Plan) should be a child to whom practitioners are especially alert to the potential for Early Help services (Working Together to Safeguard Children 2018 (6)). Where a child’s needs are relatively low level, individual services and universal services may be able to take swift action.
